Baissano – Display font

Baissano is a typeface inspired by the Mediterranean, with a resolutely Mediterranean character. The letters are inspired by the rich typographic heritage found all around the Big Blue. But it’s also a typeface that visually expresses the duality between nature and culture, an association that has profoundly shaped the Mediterranean environment.

Baissano typography is the result of research carried out for the Scène de Bayssan visual identity. It is available for download below.

Description

Baissano is a display font, particularly suitable for use in titling. The letters are dominated by strong, geometric shafts that express the notion of culture (carved by the hand of man), followed by lines and curves that draw more sensual shapes, seemingly born of nature. The combination of these two styles creates a singular, poetic typography. Through the design of its letters, Baissano illustrates all the emotions of the Mediterranean, and pays tribute to its cultural and natural heritage.
