Asensò:
Translation from Spanish, assent.
Act by which someone expresses
their support for an idea.

Welcome to the Mediterranean.

Based in the south of France since 2008, Studio Asensò works on visual identity, publishing, packaging and space projects. Our areas of expertise cover all aspects of visual communication, both print and digital.

The Asensò studio is located in the heart of the Occitanie region, in downtown Béziers (Hérault), in an old shop that has been completely renovated to resemble a workshop. Here, the team “studies”, in the sense of “developing knowledge”, and warmly welcomes you.

Why a studio?
Like the word design, the term “studio” has its origins in English and Italian. It designates a place of study, creation and work. A polysemous word that can evoke both a workshop and a living space, where we experiment, learn and develop our knowledge. Through our practice, we cultivate this idea of “remaining a student”, constantly questioning our craft and deepening our know-how on a daily basis.

Accompanied by our lilting accent, we work all over France with companies and public bodies on brand design, editorial design, packaging design and space design projects.

Our areas of expertise cover all aspects of visual communication, both print and digital.

Contextual design that creates links

We practice design where listening and context play a major role in our creative process.

Our approach is based above all on dialogue. A dialogue between you and us, between your organization and the people it addresses. We design identities and communication tools that are sensitive, durable and embodied, capable of conveying a vision, creating links and bringing emotion to everyday life, all within a pre-defined context.

Designing necessarily implies taking a context into account. For us, contextual design means questioning, observing and gathering information for each project, but also bringing out links, stories and references to feed the creative process.

These elements can be historical, cultural, economic, geographical, architectural or sociological. Together, they form the framework within which we design solutions that are accurate, sensitive and rooted in reality.

We act with strong convictions: teamwork, meaning and (eco)design.

Since 2008, we have been a member of Alliance France Design, the leading multi-disciplinary professional association, and a signatory of the eco-designers’ charter.

This charter represents a committed response by design professionals to the contemporary challenges of sustainable development. Through this approach, we are defending the practice of design that is attentive to its ecological, health, social and cultural responsibilities.

For us, eco-design is not just about reducing environmental impact. It’s about designing projects that are fairer, more sustainable and more coherent, taking into account their context, their use and the people for whom they are intended.

Romain Diant is also co-president of Design Occitanie, a key player in the promotion of design in Occitanie. The association is the official relay for France Design Week.

Teaming up

Whatever the project, our aim is to team up with you to design the best solution for the given context. We work with companies in the fields of gastronomy, culture and industry, alongside start-ups and public players.

Making sense

Our approach to graphic design focuses on making sense. We don’t do gratuitous aesthetics; our creations carry values and a unique story – your story. We try to give meaning to our work by tirelessly seeking the beautiful in the useful.

Making (eco)design

We attach great importance to the role of design in society. We integrate it into the various stages of conception and realization, and then into the experience of your brand, giving concrete form to a useful and responsible solution.

We operate throughout France with a team of qualified and experienced designers.

Romain Diant

Founder of the Asensò studio, art director and graphic designer, Romain has been developing a demanding graphic design practice for over twenty years, nourished by a strong culture of typography and visual identity systems. With a Master’s degree in graphic design, he founded the studio in 2008 with the aim of designing meaningful projects that respond to local issues. He is responsible for the artistic direction of the studio, ensuring consistency and quality of execution across all projects. His approach combines high graphic standards, legibility and the construction of lasting identities.

Today, he heads up a team of three designers at the Asensò studio, whose collective work enriches proposals, cross-fertilizes viewpoints and takes project design to the next level.

Samuel Roger

Graphic designer specializing in visual identity since 2018 at the studio AsensòSamuel’s approach is attentive to the design of shapes, signs and typographic precision. He participates in the development of visual identities as well as their deployment on print and digital media.

Laurie Paolin

Laurie’s graphic design practice focuses mainly on print publishing, and she is involved in grid research, editorial and typographic compositions, and the development of graphic systems.

Charlie Patrascu

Driven by a strong interest in graphic design, particularly through drawing and editorial design, Charlie approaches visual identity and publishing projects with ease and a cross-disciplinary approach, enabling him to explore naturally between different creative registers.

A photography studio integrated into our art department

We have a photographic studio that can be combined with our artistic direction, drawing on the expertise of various image professionals. This tool and our network enable us to offer a complete range of services: packshots, atmospheric shots and reportage. This proximity guarantees fluid exchanges and perfect visual coherence, from concept to completion.

A network of certified partners committed to working alongside us

We surround ourselves with talent for every project, giving preference to responsible and, wherever possible, local partners. Printers, illustrators, designers, foundries, scenographers, copywriters, photographers, developers, project managers, editors… We’ve built up a solid network that enables us to offer the strength of a large agency with the flexibility of a studio on a human scale.
