Par le prisme du design
Revealing the World Around Us Through Design
What is design? Who are its makers? And how does it shape the identity—and future—of Occitanie?
As part of France Design Week, Par le prisme du design (Through the Prism of Design) explores these questions through an immersive, regional lens. Co-organized by Design Occitanie and École de Condé Toulouse, the exhibition invites businesses, public actors, and citizens to discover design’s role as both mirror and motor—reflecting the world around us, while reimagining how we engage with it.
École de Condé becomes both stage and subject: its luminous volumes and layered spaces form a living scenography, revealing a kaleidoscope of creative approaches.
Design here is not just seen. It’s refracted—through voices, through context, through region.

Visualizing Design, Dot by Dot
The visual identity for “Par le prisme du design” (Through the Prism of Design) mirrors the echibition’s intent: to reveal the world around us—through design.
The identity translates process into pattern. A constellation of dots and circles forms the foundation, evoking both the iterative steps of the design process and the diversity of actors, methods, and perspectives shaping the field. Each circle becomes a voice, a moment, a lens—together creating a collective narrative.
Typography follows suit. Built from 205TF’s Beretta Sans by Damien Gautier, the typeface echoes the visual system: modular, round, and rhythmic. Its dotted texture plays with perception—just like the exhibition itself.
The identity extends across six thematic prisms—know-how, the visual, history, matter, usage, and the designer—each distinguished by its own color. Together, they create a flexible visual system that connects audiences to the multifaceted landscape of design in Occitanie.
Graphic. Playful. Systemic. The identity doesn’t just represent design. It performs it.
Designed by RCE Designers, the scenography extends the in-situ experience and reflects the language of the visual identity.
