Braciola – Font family

Braciola is a typeface inspired by the Art Deco movement and the dreamlike quality of Italian cuisine. Its lines have been reinterpreted and modernized to create a simple, nostalgic, and versatile typographic vocabulary. Braciola lets you work with a decorative typeface and play with different character variations to add rhythm to your text.

The Braciola typography was specially designed and created for the visual identity of the Sétois bistro Le Boucanier.. It is available for download below.

The word Braciola comes from brageole, translated from Italian. Brageole is a speciality of Sète, of Italian meridionale origin (it. braciola). This dish is made from rolls of meat, mainly beef chuck cutlets, seasoned inside with garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. They are often held together with a wooden skewer. This is a classic component of the macaronade from Sète.
