No, it’s not Jean Guile Day, nor is it a public holiday. It’s Asensò Studio’s birthday!
And not just any age, but the age of our 16s, the age of adolescence, synonymous with effervescence and rebellion, the age of alternatives and experimentation. We’re not that radical, but we’re still loud and clear about our values, and our way of seeing and thinking about the world. Since October1, 2005, we’ve been doing everything we can to get you to “adhere” to our concepts, and that’s what the name Asensò is all about: Spanish for assent, adherence to an idea.
It all began in 2005 with Romain in Montpellier, after having spent a few years working in a communications agency. Béziers then beckoned, the area in which he took his first steps and then his first weapons. The studio took up residence close to the sea until 2010, when it finally moved to Sauvian, in a warm and spacious village house with a period dovecote as entrance hall, and a swing as work chair. The team is further strengthened by the arrival of Samuel in 2018, at the same time as Romain’s first steps into “research” with the defense of a dissertation dealing with empathy as part of a commission, and then in 2021 with the arrival of Marlène. The precepts of the studio are thus laid down, stone by stone, with time and the team that now surrounds the duo as allies. Time, because since 2005 we’ve crossed many milestones, just as we’ve broken many mental and social barriers. The team, because the history of the studio is above all a human adventure made up of magnificent encounters, too numerous to illustrate here, but all firmly anchored in our memory.
Many of you are now following and supporting us, and today we’d like to pay tribute to you – family, friends, colleagues, former trainees, partners, colleagues, customers… You’re part of the adventure, and the journey is just as exceptional as you are. Thank you for writing it with us.
