Domaine Lévéjean
Winemakers from father to son since 1947
Domaine Lévéjean is a winery shaped by its terroir and history. Located on the former bed of the Orb River, in the Hérault commune of Thézan-lès-Béziers, this family-run estate, managed by Michelle and Alban, draws on a gravelly terroir warmed by the Mediterranean sun. For three generations, the Prades family—which founded the estate in 1947—has been guided by its passion for working the land. Over the years, the estate has expanded—not out of excessive ambition, but to breathe new life into neglected land and reach a scale that would allow them to acquire equipment capable of meeting their high standards. Today, the focus is no longer on growth, but on continually elevating the quality of the wines and the work carried out on these 160 hectares, cultivated with respect and the highest standards.

An identity shaped by its terroir
The visual identity of Domaine Lévéjean is centered around three key elements. First, the building’s architecture, with its modern and bold lines, which crowns the landscape and its “earth embankment” composed of layers of gravel.
Next comes the name Lévéjean, which anchors the estate in its terroir. Lévéjean comes from the combination of the Occitan word “Leve” (meaning a raised embankment) and “Jean.” It evokes a raised mound of earth that protects the vines from rising waters. This element is depicted as the base of the building in the logo.
Ultimately, it is the soil itself that shapes the wine. A mixture of water, sand, sediment, and pebbles—characteristic of the estate’s gravelly terrain—traces of time captured in the soil and reflected in the estate’s logo.

Illustrations that tell the story of the vintages
The labels are inspired by the stone. Cairns, carefully stacked from pebbles found in the vineyards, stand as markers of Domaine Lévéjean’s unique terroir. Each formation speaks to the wine it contains: roundness, lightness, subtlety, and power.
Framed to reveal only one side, the cairns take on an abstract quality. Patterns emerge, shapes shift, and the mineral character of the pebbles is accentuated. Created in black and white, this exclusive visual style brings cohesion to the range, subtly reflecting and amplifying the history and personality of the vintages. This visual style becomes a visual narrative of the soil and time, of winemaking and place.

Labels that reflect the estate’s philosophy
Domaine Lévéjean is rooted in respect for the land, nature, and balance. Certified “High Environmental Value” (HVE), it meets the highest standards for environmental conservation. Here, biodiversity thrives: hedgerows, wildflowers, weeds, insects—each element plays its part in the vineyard’s ecosystem. The impact on the air, water, and soil is kept to a minimum, ensuring a future as rich as its heritage.
This philosophy extends beyond the vineyards. The labels are printed on 100% natural cotton paper from Fedrigoni. Raw textures and subtle imperfections—these details all reflect the estate’s commitment to sustainability. An echo of the earth, preserved in every bottle.
