Culture·Co
A National Network for Culture Across French Territories

Culture doesn’t happen in isolation. It lives in the interplay between individuals, communities and institutions—across art, education, social life and the shared spaces that define our territories.

Culture·Co is a national network dedicated to strengthening this ecosystem. By supporting public cultural policies in every French department, it fosters cooperation at every level of society, serving a public-benefit purpose. From local authorities to artists, educators and citizens, Culture·Co builds the connective tissue that keeps culture alive, relevant and accessible.

Naming With Intent

The name Culture·Co revolves around the middle dot. In ancient writing systems, this mark separated words but also visually connected them—bridging ideas. In literature and cinema, the midpoint of a story often signals a revelation, a decisive shift. Culture·Co draws on this symbolism: a catalyst for change, a marker of progress.

The middle dot also doubles as a location pin—a nod to the importance of place and the value of every individual within their territory. It’s a fitting emblem for an organisation built on flat structures and shared ownership.

The Logo, a Symbol for Shared Action

At the heart of the visual identity is a simple but powerful idea: culture as a point of convergence.

The icon starts with a hexagon—a reference to the French territory itself, often used in the French language. From this central point, three-branched shapes radiate outward, forming the C of Culture·Co. Each branch represents one of the network’s levels of action: individual, regional and national. Together, they create a dynamic and unifying logo.

These converging lines echo the network’s purpose: aligning diverse stakeholders behind a shared mission. Even at small scale, the hexagon remains—a precise point anchoring the symbol and the wordmark. Like the historical middle dot in typography, it links elements together, highlighting the intersection where ideas, people and places meet.

A Palette Rooted in Place

Culture·Co’s colours reflect its threefold mission: to serve individuals, departments and the nation as a whole. Rather than adopting the primary palette of the French Republic wholesale, the identity reinterprets these colours for the cultural sphere—grounding the brand in its national context while expressing openness, vibrancy and inclusion.

This layered system gives every touchpoint—from policy papers to event materials—a clear, recognisable presence.

A Network With Purpose

Culture·Co isn’t just an advocate for culture—it’s an infrastructure for cultural action. Its visual and verbal identity express that mission with clarity and intent. No decorative gestures. No empty statements. Every element is designed to reinforce the same idea: culture belongs to everyone, and it flourishes when we work together.

The tone is confident but human. Grounded but ambitious. Culture·Co speaks to policymakers, practitioners and citizens alike—people who believe culture can transform territories, strengthen communities and expand horizons.

This is an organization built on connection, context and care. A system designed not only to represent Culture·Co’s work—but to inspire more of it.
