Rooted in Its Environment: The Brand Identity.

Clos Saint-Michel appeals to nature lovers who are seeking a peaceful getaway, as well as to sports enthusiasts eager to explore the unspoiled landscapes surrounding Mont Ventoux. Its brand identity reflects the natural setting in which the estate is nestled, while highlighting the distinctive character of the resort and all that it offers.

The organic shape of the icon is inspired by olive leaves, and more broadly by the untouched Provencal landscape where guests come to unwind in a peaceful cocoon. The icon also speaks to the estate’s agricultural heart, where olives, cherries, grapes, and many other fruits and vegetables are cultivated. Guests can enjoy olive oil, wine, and other products grown and crafted on site.

Within the icon, the olive leaves transform into a fountain—a nod to the spa and wellness area, and the sense of calm it brings. The fountain also evokes an old well found on the property, which provides the estate with drinking water of remarkable purity.

At its base, the icon takes the shape of roots, a symbol of the deep connection between Clos Saint-Michel and Provence’s natural and cultural heritage. This form also suggests the silhouette of Mont Ventoux, Provence’s iconic peak that rises beside the estate.

Celebrating Local Craftsmanship: The Stationery.

The stationery and printed materials were created in keeping with Clos Saint-Michel’s philosophy, favouring local distribution channels and celebrating regional craftsmanship. Particular care was given to the guest experience, through the design of refined stationery that reflects the authenticity of the estate and the unspoiled nature that surrounds it. All pieces are printed exclusively on pulp-coloured Fedrigoni Materica paper. The business cards were crafted and printed in Provence by Les Caracterres, a small letterpress workshop.

Deeply Provencal: The Iconography.

Clos Saint-Michel is embraced by ancient olive trees, their leaves standing as a symbol of the untouched nature surrounding the estate. These olive leaves lie at the heart of the resort’s brand identity, serving as its visual foundation.

Photographs of the leaves are artfully transformed into near-abstract, richly textured patterns. These motifs are then brought to life with colours drawn from the brand’s palette.

By combining these patterns, the identity creates visuals that are both meaningful and elegant, reflecting the spirit of Clos Saint-Michel.
