Cazouls-lès-Béziers is a city in southern France located in the heart of the Occitanie region. Its more than 5,000 inhabitants enjoy its ideal location, between the Caroux mountains to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south, between the city and the countryside. It is, so to speak, the gateway that connects these two worlds, these two environments. The commune’s territory is marked by its numerous vineyards, its small hills dotted with pine forests, its old bauxite mines and their characteristic red earth, as well as by the Orb River, which borders its territory to the east.

Cazouls-lès-Béziers is a family-friendly, small-scale community where life is good. While it offers a peaceful and pleasant living environment, this does not mean isolation or a lack of facilities and services—quite the contrary! Cazouls is a small, dynamic town that offers services worthy of a much larger community, whether in terms of infrastructure, cultural offerings, or activities. Visual identity concept

As the old logo did not clearly convey the municipality’s identity, the town hall decided to give the town a new visual identity that would reflect its development and match its ambitions.

In order to anchor itself in the environment and characteristics of the town, the visual identity focuses on two of Cazouls’ unique features: its ideal location between the sea and the mountains, between town and country, and its name, which is composed of three parts. This triptych, in addition to being historically justified (the junction of three dioceses on the territory of the municipality in a place called “Les Trois Tables”), echoes the three elements that give Cazouls its charm: its history and heritage, its services and family size, and the specificities of its environment.

A rich formal repertoire

Drawing on the formal repertoire found in the logo, various motifs and pictograms can be created. These can serve as pictographic elements representing, for example, various heritage elements, or take the form of graphic design elements for use in the layout of various communication media.
