Anciles
, Guardian of Resilience

Anciles is a cybersecurity firm that helps organizations address challenges related to governance, risk, compliance, and resilience.

Inspired by the “anciles,” the sacred shields of ancient Rome, both the name and the logo evoke the concepts of protection and passage through the use of a shape that could be interpreted as a door—a symbol of secure access and control over traffic flow.

The visual design also evokes the concept of layers through a series of lines, symbolizing the multiple dimensions and levels that make up the complex world of cybersecurity.

The Ancile: Between Myth and Protection

According to Roman tradition, a bronze shield was sent by Jupiter and fell from the sky during the reign of Numa, Rome’s second king after Romulus. The soothsayers saw this as a divine sign and predicted that Rome would retain its power and protection as long as this sacred object was preserved.

The Shield of Ancile is distinguished by its unique oval shape and distinctive side notches. According to legend, Numa had eleven identical replicas made in order to conceal the original and protect it from any malicious attempts.

This design conveys the concepts of protection, agility, and resilience through moving nets and Roman-inspired pictograms.

An identity that promotes resilience and security a

Stationery, web materials, and digital publications (reports, presentation documents) were designed to ensure a consistent and lasting visual identity across both digital and print media.

The visual identity is based on a combination of high-contrast colors that is both distinctive and easy to remember. Blue evokes trust, reliability, expertise, safety, and professionalism.

Widely used in the fields of technology and cybersecurity, it enhances the brand’s credibility.
Neon green, meanwhile, evokes innovation, the digital world, and cybersecurity. It adds a contemporary and dynamic touch to the visual identity, while emphasizing its technological and forward-looking nature.
