Parcours Itinérance
Sud-Hérault
The Centre d’Arts et du Patrimoine de la Communauté de communes Sud-Hérault is dedicated to promoting the region’s rich heritage. To love, cherish, promote and animate this varied local heritage through artistic, cultural and scientific mediation
In 2023, the Centre d’Arts et du Patrimoine de la Communauté de communes Sud-Hérault will begin a first phase of expansion and accessibility work. As part of the work on the estate, all the events organized by the Educational Service and the Arts Centre will be touring the communes of the Sud-Hérault area. The estate has therefore decided to go beyond its walls and meet local residents.
New exhibitions and activities are offered every month in each new commune. The exhibits are housed in mobile modules specially designed for touring, allowing the works to travel from Cazedarnes to Creissan, where they will be met by local residents.

A cultural network for the region
The visual identity is articulated around points symbolizing each of the towns crossed by the itinerary. This approach evokes both mobility and territorial networking. Each point becomes a stage, a cultural stopover, anchored in a unique local context.
Beyond simple geography, it reflects a desire to weave links between communities, to enhance their individual identities while creating a common narrative. This framework also reflects a strong heritage dimension, highlighting the artistic, historical and cultural wealth of each location, and underlining the service’s role as a vector for dissemination and cultural dialogue across the territory.

Touring editions of the route
For the event, Sud-Hérault published a series of documents informing the public about the program and serving as mediation aids (leaflets for associations, workshops, school audiences, specific audiences, general public…).
Each printed material features the “Parcours Itinérance” logo, set within a framed cartouche designed like a signage panel. Conceived as a structured typographic block, this element serves a dual purpose: it visually anchors the identity of the route across all communication materials while emphasizing the sense of movement inherent to the project—a journey connecting multiple locations and cities within the municipal territory.

A meaningful way to experience and understand heritage differently
The educational offer is structured around five main themes representing the major historical periods and the wealth of local heritage. Visits to the major sites of the Sud-Hérault region are organized in the company of a guide, as well as workshops and themed exhibitions.
The aim is to reconnect with the local area and take a fresh, informed look at the environment, while stimulating creativity. These outings pursue a wide range of educational objectives through the discovery of museums, historic monuments, castles, religious buildings, natural and archaeological sites, as well as industrial, winegrowing, technical and architectural heritage.
